When we started iSandbox in 2004 we knew a lot about direct marketing. We’d all been in the direct response agency world for years. We knew our stance on innovation. And we knew that as direct marketing specialists we’d need to work well with other types of agencies – general advertisers, PR firms, you name it.
For some that’s easier said than done. But we’re fortunate to have a team and mindset that doesn’t only enjoy a collaborative work environment, we downright dig it. When ideas are allowed to flow across traditional boundaries and players with different perspectives can see the same goal – real innovations can be created.
One of our colleagues used to call this phenomena “playing well in the sandbox.” And so the idea was born. Several iterations later: Innovation Sandbox, Idea Sandbox, ROiSandbox (that one was short-lived), we finally settled on iSandbox.
